New Song – Won’t Stop - May 10th, 2013

Return from Broken - New Music by Matt SorenI just finished a new song called “Won’t Stop” which I think is one of my favorites (thus far). I’ve been working on a new album, determined to get all this music out of me. But instead of waiting to release the full record later this year, I wanted to put up a few songs along the way during this process before I complete it.  This song is about never giving in to the enemy, ever.

Have a listen:

Like it? Let me know what you think below.

Also, if you want to download it, I am temporarily giving it to those on my email list exclusively. No gimmicks or games. Go here to download this and other songs for free (Only for the really cool people on my email list).

Enjoy!

Matt

Won’t Stop Lyrics – Matt Soren – Return from Broken:

You thought I was beat.
Don’t you wish it were only that easy.
Now I’m just peeved,
still cleaning up all the damage you’ve done.
So you want a fight.
Promise you then it’s gonna get ugly

The harder you try, to beat down and break me,
the harder I fight.
You won’t take me down, You won’t take me down.
You won’t break me

I’m ready to play,
though I know you will pull all you can just to stop me.
But I’ve come to see,
how to twart all your actions to stop me

The harder you try, to beat down and break me,
the harder I fight.
You won’t take me down, You won’t take me down.
You won’t break me

You can’t break me.
You can’t stop me cause I will never,
stop fighting you.
You can’t break me.
You can’t stop me cause I will never,
stop till I’ve won.

Won’t stop till I’ve won.

Now I can see.
I’ve always had legions behind me
You can still try, but you know with them,
You cannot stop me.
You cannot stop me.

You can’t break me.
You can’t stop me cause I will never,
stop fighting you.
You can’t break me.
You can’t stop me cause we will never,
stop till we’ve won.

Won’t stop till we’ve won.
Won’t stop till we’ve won.

Too Much Fun - March 23rd, 2013

Enjoying life, writing music

I’ve been busy writing and recording new songs which has been fun, but I have been a little lax in posting updates. OK, maybe that’s a bit of an understatement. I haven’t logged into Facebook in a month. Maybe that’s bad but then again, you all have lives too and there are plenty of friend updates to keep you entertained for those of you on Facebook a lot.

That said, I will commit to being more active so you know I am alive and kicking. I’ve got to re-enable my phone to post to FB automatically, that way I can add stuff more often.

I am really excited about finishing up a new album this year, and probably and EP in the next couple months. Also been tweaking and building the live show, which I am doing more of now in Utah.

So anyway, I’ll put some more updates as I have a few more songs finished. I guess I’m enjoying life too much that I’m not ‘sharing it’. Will do more of it though.

Cheers!

Matt

Thank You Song – Download - December 22nd, 2012

Thank YouI wanted to get this song out to all of you before Christmas as a way to say ‘thank you‘. I wrote this for all those that were such a support to my family as my wife went through cancer treatments and surgery in 2011 and into this year. I have always wanted to say thank you in a more meaningful way, because words just don’t give our deep gratitude justice.

I wrote this song specifically for you and for all your help, but just barely got in a position to get a good recording done of it.

I’ve included the song you can listen to here as well as a link below where you can download it for free. Not surprisingly, the name of song is ‘Thank You‘, and I hope it does a little more justice than words can alone:

I just have to say, never underestimate the small acts of kindness you do. Without being on the receiving end, I would have never imagined how meaningful these small acts of kindness really can be to us in difficult times.

Thank you!

Thank You – Lyrics

It’s been crazy, embarrassing,
to be the one on the end in need.
We couldn’t ask, too proud to ask,
but you, somehow you knew.

There’s no way to say,
how good it is having you.

We do all we can, do all we can,
but it’s not enough, alone.
If it weren’t for you we’d never know,
really know, we’re never alone.

No way to say how good it is having you.
All that you do, all that you do.
Thank you.

Can’t say enough, to you.

Just want you to know,
how far it goes all that you do.
Thank you
If you only knew how far it goes,
all that you do.
Thank you
Thank you
Thank you

Can’t say enough, to you.
